BRIDGETON, MO -- A little girl is a hero to a World War II veteran. 89-year old Marland Bates lost his wallet with $1,000 inside shortly after leaving a store in Missouri.
10-year old Tiara Guynn was visiting her grandmother from Texas when she spotted something in the road. She asked her grandmother to pull over and she dashed out to retrieve the billfold.
Police were able to track down Bates. He eventually got his wallet back with everything inside.
Bates gave Guynn a reward for finding the wallet.
