UPDATE: 1/8/2014 8:30 a.m.

A correction to a story we first reported on January 6th. An accident which claimed the life of a 49-year-old Clay County resident was NOT a hit and run. The driver involved in the accident did remain at the scene.

The Clay County Sheriff's Department tells us that no charges are anticipated at this time.

The Clay County Sheriff's Office has identified the pedestrian as 49-year-old Christine Hengl who was walking in the 6700 block of CR315 in Keystone Heights.

CCSO says the victim was wearing dark clothing while walking in an area with no streetlights.
