DELTONA, Fla. -The search for a missing Deltona family, who deputies say is dead, will continue Thursday morning in a heavily wooded area near the family's home.

Yessenia Suarez, 28, and her children, Thalia Otto, 9, and Michael Otto, 8, have been missing more than a week.

Investigators and family members started from scratch and searched several areas on Wednesday.

The focus of Thursday's search will be in a wooded area near Lake Monroe.

The family said it wants closure after Suarez's husband, Luis Toledo, told authorities he killed his wife with a punch to the throat.

According to authorities, Toledo won't tell them where her body is located. He has implicated someone else in the deaths of the children.

Volusia County deputies said they won't stop searching until they've exhausted all leads.

"We've seen far too often in a case like this there was no recovery made and anything we can do in our power to make that recovery so at least they can have closure," said Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson.

Suarez's family joined in on the search Wednesday afternoon.

"It's very important to find my grandkids and my daughter so I can put closure to this," said Suarez' mother Felicia Perez. "No way I can sit home."

Toledo is charged with second-degree murder and being held without bond.

Toledo was arrested on a domestic battery charge from the incident at Suarez's workplace and held in jail as investigators built their case. Over the weekend, he attempted suicide by trying to cut himself with a broken mirror at the Volusia County Sheriff's Office's Operations Center, deputies said.

The search resumed at 7 a.m. in Deltona.
