Police: Three exchange students robbed at gunpoint near UNF

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Students are on alert at the University of North Florida campus after three students were robbed at gunpoint.

According to University Police, it happened early Sunday morning -- near Kernan Boulevard and First Coast Technology Parkway.

Three students, who are foreign exchange students from Spain and Argentina, told police they were walking towards the Osprey Fountains dormitory on the UNF campus when a woman with a gun confronted them and demanded cash.

Afterward, she ran away heading south on Kernan Blvd.

Students described the robber as a 5-foot, 3-inch blonde woman. They say she was wearing a green sweatshirt.
