Orange Park Town Council will hold the final public hearing on a proposed ordinance banning the sale of electronic cigarettes and liquid nicotine to people under 18 Tuesday, the Florida Times-Union reports.
The ordinance would also ban their use in areas where regular smoking is prohibited. Violators would face a $500 fine or 60 days in jail.
The council is seeking information about the proposed fine, addictiveness of liquid nicotine, effects of second-hand vapor and potential enforcement of the ordinance.
The hearing will be at the Town Hall located at 2042 Park Ave.
