JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The soundtrack to the Jaguars home games is all about keeping the players and the crowd energized.
But a fan favorite song is getting the boot and the Jaguars DJ Chill Will is feeling the heat.
"I just put the tweet out there by saying, "Hey, we're not going to play [Sweet Home Alabama]" but then I was like am I getting spam? I kept getting retweets, I knew it was an issue but not a hot bed issue," said DJ Chill Will, the Jacksonville Jaguars DJ.
Thursday, Chill Will threw himself in the middle of a Jaguars showdown between the fans who want to hear "Sweet Home Alabama" at home games and those who don't.
His posting read, "Dear Jags fans ... Sweet Home Alabama will never be played at Everbank Field again ... that is all"
"I wouldn't say 'Sweet Home Alabama' is a hometown song, it's just one song that we play," said DJ Chill Will, the Jacksonville Jaguars DJ.
It's also a song that Jaguar DJs have played before Chill Will's tenure, and a change that has sparked a lot of chatter.
