JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office found 20-year-old Shawna Lamb safe Wednesday morning after investigating a missing person case late Tuesday night.
Officers responded to Almira Street and Dickson Road at 9:20 p.m. in reference to a possible battery.
A witness reported seeing Lamb being pulled, shoved and pushed down Almira Street by Leroy Brown, 25, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Witnesses further stated that the victim was heard yelling for help and that the suspect responded "I'm going to kill you". At least one witnesses stated that the threats by the suspect did not seem to be sincere but investigators considered all possibilities and needed information as to the whereabouts and status of the victim.
Lamb's family met Brown Tuesday afternoon and her sister talked to him and he said she was "fine". When asked to talk to her, Leroy hung up and the phone was turned off.
She had run off before and has a known drug problem but Det. Farhat says Lamb was found safe sleeping at Brown's sister's house.
Lamb was not aware that people were looking for her. Brown's sister saw the surveillance video and alerted Brown and Lamb that she had been reported missing. No charges have been filed at this time.
