SANFORD, Fla. - Law enforcement officers across Florida are gearing up for the verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office, working in conjunction with the Sanford Police Department, has released a new public service announcement entitled "Raise Your Voice, Not Your Hands."

It features police officers, teenagers and even a special appearance from Miami Heat star James Jones.

The goal, according to authorities, is not to take away people's freedoms of speech and assembly, but to encourage peaceful reaction to the verdict.

"We don't have information about a specific event that might take place at the conclusion of the trial, but we encourage everyone to keep any protests peaceful," Sheriff Scott Israel said.

The family of Trayvon Martin have been spreading a similar message since the start of the trial.

They would like everyone to remain calm and allow the trial to be a peaceful process.

A phrase #KeepCalmForTrayvon is now trending on Twitter thanks to other people who want to avoid any violent confrontations.

In Jacksonville, the sheriff's office said it is prepared to respond to any scene in which there are large numbers of people reacting to the verdict.
