JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A former adjunct instructor at Florida State College at Jacksonville is in jail for violating probation after allegedly having sex with a minor last year.
Sheree Lacy, 31, was arrested on June 25, 2013 and charged with Violation of Probation.
Lacy was initially arrested on April 27, 2012 and charged with Unlawful Sexual Activity (Suspect 24 or Older, Victim 16 or 17), according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrest and booking report.
The activity was originally reported on April 16, 2012. Lacy turned
herself in and "apologized to the victim's mother and told her the
medicine she was on made her very horny," the initial arrest report
She pleaded guilty in August 2012 to a charge of Child Abuse - Intentional Infliction of Physical or Mental Injury and ordered to serve 12-18 months probation, to perform 50 community hours, maintain a medication regimen and have no contact with the victim or victim's family, according to Duval County Clerk of Courts records.
In a court appearance on Monday, Lacy denied the allegations and Judge Kevin Blazs set her next court appearance for July 23. She is being held in the Duval County Jail and is not eligible for bond.
UPDATE, 7/8/13, 4 p.m.: According to Michael Corby with FSCJ, Lacy has not worked for the college since April 2012.
"Sheree Lacy began working for the College on Aug. 31, 2009 as an Adjunct Instructor. She last worked for the college through May 4, 2012."
