Man clinging to life after overnight shooting, identified

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man, believed to have been shot in front of his own home, is clinging to life this morning.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the 3200 block of Fitzgerald Street around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning and found a male with gunshot wounds on the sidewalk.

The victim was taken to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment and is currently in life-threatening condition.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 22-year-old Christopher Calloway.

An investigation is underway and police are searching for a suspect.
