JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The little boy whose fingers were severed in an accident at a hangar at Craig Airfield in May is expected to arrive on the First Coast on Saturday after being treated at Duke Medical Center in North Carolina.

Ben Bowersox is scheduled to fly into Craig Airfield at 2 p.m. on Saturday, according to a Facebook post from First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, where Ben's dad Steve is a worship pastor.

Ben's stay at Duke included several surgeries, time in a hyperbaric chamber and being on a feeding tube.

The church said Ben and his family have "a long road ahead, but what a blessing to be able to continue it at home surrounded by friends and family."

Parking at Craig Airfield is limited, so the church is encouraging those who want to greet Ben to carpool.
