JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in finding a stroller that may be a "key piece of evidence" in the Cherish Perrywinkle murder investigation.

JSO Chief of Investigations Annie Smith said the stroller was put into the back of Donald Smith's van on Friday night by Cherish's mother on the trip from the Dollar General on Edgewood Avenue to the Lem Turner Road Walmart, just before Cherish went missing.

When Donald Smith was taken into custody on Saturday morning, the stroller was gone.

The stroller, pictured above, is blue and is a front and back, not side-by-side, older model stroller in disrepair, Chief Annie Smith said.

In a second photo, a woman is seen pushing the stroller, but Chief Annie Smith would not comment on the identity of that woman or confirm if it was Cherish Perrywinkle's mother.

Chief Annie Smith said investigators are continuing to comb through leads of where Donald Smith may have been earlier in the day.

If the stroller is found, individuals are asked to not touch the stroller and call JSO at (904) 630-0500.
