JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An unidentified man may have jumped from the 16th floor of the Hyatt Regency in downtown Jacksonville Saturday, according to police.
According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sergeant Jay Farhat, the man, who may have jumped according to Farhat, in his 40's.
JSO is investigating the incident, including whether anyone was in the room with the man when he jumped and if alcohol was involved.
When the man fell, he landed in the valet parking lot on the trunk of a car.
That lot is on the side of the Hyatt that faces the river according to JSO.
Two proms are being held at the Hyatt tonight - one school is Mandarin High School.
The Hyatt declined to comment.
