JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a car crash that sent an SUV into a pond mid-morning Wednesday.
An SUV traveling westbound on Beaver collided with a Ford Focus on Lee Street, according to witness statements, sending the SUV between two trees and into a retention pond.
Witnesses claim the Ford pulled out in front of the SUV.
Good Samaritans helped rescue the female driver and her four-year-old passenger out of the pond, according to Officer Dan Grannon with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital as a precaution and no injuries have been reported at this point.
An investigation is underway.
