JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- One of the seven people killed in Monday's National Airlines Boeing 747-400 cargo plane crash in Afghanistan trained at a flight school in Jacksonville.

Jamie Brokaw, 33, of Monroe, Michigan attended ATP Flight School at Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport in 2008 according to company employees.

No one from ATP wanted to appear on camera today but a flight instructor told First Coast News Brokaw was a good pilot.

Orlando based National Airlines specializes in moving freight for the military and businesses. The company is now working with the National Transportation Safety Board. "The NTSB is in charge of the investigation. We are doing everything we can to help them because we want a resolution and find out the cause of the crash," said Shirley Kaufman, National Air Cargo Vice President.

Harrowing footage captured from the dash camera of a vehicle shows the National Airlines Boeing 747-400 taking off at Bagram Airfield military base near Kabul. The cargo plane's nose pitches up and then the aircraft falls from the sky in a matter of seconds erupting into a fireball.

Those killed were four pilots, two mechanics and load master, who was responsible for making sure the weight and balance of the cargo were correct.

The Taliban quickly claimed responsibility for downing the plane, but NATO said the claims were false and there was no sign of insurgent activity in the area at the time of the crash.
