BRUNSWICK, Ga. -- New developments in the Brunswick case against two teens accused of shooting 13-month- old, Antonio Santiago.
The defense for 17-year-old De'marquise Elkins has filed a motion demanding the state disclose more evidence about a state material witness.
The motion asks for any and all information relating to the witness, alleging she may have been involved in a murder-for-hire plot or insurance fraud in connection with the death of the toddler.
The defense has also asked the state to turn over any evidence suggesting she may have provided false information to police about the shooting.
First Coast News reached out to the District Attorney's office for comment. We were told they do not comment on defense motions.
