Jacksonville Sheriff's Office: No suspects in shooting, woman in critical condition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office is investigating a Friday night shooting that has left a woman in critical condition.

According to police, a woman was shot around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of West 20th and Fairfax streets.

She was taken by her friends to Shands Jacksonville, which is located about two miles from the intersection.

Police say there are no suspects in the shooting and they have not talked to the woman yet.

Update 4/3/13: The woman who was shot has been identified as Kaundra Swint-James. Swint-James is still alive and there are no updates to the case, according to JSO Public Information Officer Shannon Hartley.
