BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Shoplifting, identity fraud and theft are just a few of the charges that appear on the lengthy rap sheet of Katrina Elkins, aunt to 17-year-old murder suspect, De'Marquise Elkins.
Katrina and her sister, Karimah, De'Marquise's mother, were booked into the Glynn County Jail early Tuesday morning for allegedly providing false information to law enforcement. Karimah bonded out, but Katrina is still being held on a violation of probation charge out of Henry County.
Katrina is expected to be booked into the Henry County Jail Wednesday afternoon.
According to court records from the State of Georgia, Katrina has served a total of 47 months and 30 days behind bars for crimes she has been convicted of out of several Georgia counties, including Glynn and Chatham.
Most recently Katrina was housed in the Pulaski State Prison and was released in June of 2010.
