GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. - The mother and aunt of 17-year-old murder suspect De'Marquise Elkins spent a few hours behind bars Tuesday morning.

Karimah Aisha Elkins, 36, De'Marquise's mother was booked into the Glynn County Jail at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday after being taken into custody by the Glynn County Police Department.

Katrina Latrelle Elkins, 33, De'Marquise's aunt, was also booked into the Glynn County Jail Tuesday morning a few minutes after her sister.

The pair is facing felony charges for allegedly providing false statements or writings; concealing facts or fraudulent documents in matters of government.

Karimah bonded out Tuesday morning around 8 a.m. after paying $1,104. Katrina posted bond as well, but police say she is still being held due to a probation violation out of Henry County.
