JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An early morning fire at the Ironwood Townhomes is under investigation by two agencies.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue responded to the fire on the 4100 block of Crownwood Drive around 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the scene after JFRD officials noticed suspicious graffiti on the garage of the home, according to Shannon Hartley with JSO.
The graffiti states:
"The [profanity] that lives here is a thief he robbed me."
The fire is currently under investigation by JSO and the State Fire Marshall's Office.
JSO responded to the same home around 9 p.m. Sunday in reference to criminal mischief, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
A resident in the home heard glass break and went outside to find a small brush fire, the report detailed. Authorities also found a brick has been thrown through the victim's window with a note attached that read:
"I stole from the people [illegible] [profanity] we no where you live now [illegible] you on the street."
An investigation into the blaze and criminal mischief is underway.
