From Joy Purdy:
I've been off Facebook for a while, trying to figure out what to do at a crossroads in my life.
I was recently offered the main anchor spot at my TV station -- the 11 p.m. newscast.
However, after much prayer, and countless family discussions ... I've instead decided to take a break from work to spend time with my family.
Sound crazy? Well ...
True -- while sitting in the main anchor chair would be great for ME and MY career ... next year -- my daughter heads to preschool.
TRANSLATION: Alex would go to school in the a.m. ... and return home just in time to say bye-bye to mommy, who has to leave for work.
Before I make that evening work commitment (which could last through my children's entire grade school years) ... I'd be a fool not to jump at an opportunity I have -- right now -- to stay home while we can afford to do so.
Scary? Yes. Worth it? No doubt.
Thank you God for such a Blessing!
