JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is responding to the scene of a vehicle fire that has shut down Interstate 10 eastbound.
The fire broke out some time before 7 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-10 near US-301, in front of Winn Dixie.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, all eastbound lanes are shut down in the area as fire crews respond to the scene. Though it's not yet clear what sparked the fire or the type of vehicle involved in the incident.
Drivers are encouraged to take US-90 as an alternate route.
