JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Three bank robberies on the First Coast in one day is very unusual.
On Monday it happened -- two in Fernandina Beach and one in Jacksonville.
The Bank of America branch on Wabash Avenue in Avondale was the fifth robbery of the year in the city.
Cameras captured a good picture of the man who implied he had a gun. If you are in a bank when a robber strikes, what should you do?
"The big thing is to be aware of what's going on, obviously be compliant," said Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Shannon Hartley. "These people are generally there for the money, try not to harm anybody whenever possible and get out. Just be aware of what's going on."
