JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Jaguars unveiled a new brand logo at EverBank Field during a news conference Tuesday afternoon.
The team is attempting to re-brand itself with a new identity before entering its 19th season under owner Shad Khan. Last year's record of 2-14 was the worst in team history.
"To be a success in business or life, you have to stand for something and hold yourself accountable to the principles you believe in," Khan said. "The Jacksonville Jaguars will not be casual in this responsibility, which we owe ourselves, our fans and the Jacksonville community.
A new "military-inspired" secondary logo is being brought to life along with the teams new theme "Stand United," which speaks to the new era ahead for the team while rallying the spirit of fans for nearly two decades, according to a media release.
The new brand identity culminated from several months of collaboration between the team and the NFL, along with incorporating input from fans.
