FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- It's been three days since Tyler Morris was named Homecoming king at Fernandina Beach High School, but he's still the big man on campus.
"I think it is the awesomest time I've ever had in my whole entire life."
This autistic student has the memories of a lifetime to go along with his crown. He also managed to convinced Mariah McMullen to be his escort. Tyler thinks she's the prettiest girl in the whole school.
"I'm really really flattered that he picked me and I'm really happy about how excited he is."
Even before the big announcement, Mariah gave Tyler a sash that said "Tyler is my King."
The story of this king for a night has gone viral with people from all over the country watching our story on firstcoastnews.com.
The hash tag #KingTyler even got quite a few mentions on Twitter.
"Mom, this is Mariah McMullen. Thank you so much."
Tyler's family tells us that Friday night was the best night of his life and that's still on Cloud 9 today.
