JACKSONVILLE, FLA-- Bring your child and favorite book to Chick-fil-A in Jacksonville Monday night.
Duval County Public Schools and Chick-fil-A are hosting a Family Reading Night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the 10 Chick-fil-A locations throughout Jacksonville.
Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti and school board members will be at the different locations to discuss the importance of reading and ways the community can help students improve their reading skills.
Parents, students, teachers and members of the community are invited to attend.
The school system says Chick-fil-A will donate 10% of the proceeds from the event to 'Read It Forward Jax!', the district's reading initiative aimed at improving literacy rates and reading comprehension skills among all students.
Last year DCPS says it raised around $3,000.
