JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police released Monday the name of a 10-year-old girl who died Saturday evening.
Kayla R. Thomas was found by her father, Garbin Thomas, unconscious in a bedroom at home on Devan Lee Drive, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
According to the police report, Thomas' father called 911 and was instructed by an emergency operator to perform CPR.
Rescue crews transported the Thomas to Shands Jacksonville where she was pronounced deceased.
The cause of death is still undetermined at this time. The police report states the victim was found rolled tightly, "like a burrito" in a blanket, wedged between the mattress and footboard of the bed.
Investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said they do not suspect foul play in the case.
