Police seek man in Southside Kangaroo Express robbery

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for a man involved in a possible armed robbery at a Kangaroo Express located at 9001 Southside Boulevard Saturday morning.

Melissa Bujeda with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the robber entered the store at 4:35 a.m., demanded money, and threatened the clerk.

The robber allegedly implied that he had a handgun inside his clothing, according to Bujeda. The clerk gave him the money and he fled northbound on Southside Boulevard in an unknown vehicle.

The Sheriff's Office describes the robber in his late-30s, 5-foot-9-inch to 5-foot-10-inch, 175 pounds, wearing a white t-shirt and dark pants.
