JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Traffic Homicide investigators with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are on the scene of a crash with injuries blocking the I-95 northbound exit ramp to Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.

Tom Francis, spokesperson for the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department, said the crash involves a semi, two JSO patrol cars and a school bus. Francis said there were no children on the bus at the time of the crash.

Francis said emergency personnel responded to the scene around 6 a.m. and transported four people to local hospitals from the crash.  Two of those transported are from the JSO cruisers, Francis said.

Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, said the two police cruisers hit in the crash were working a crash involving an overturned SUV in the Northbound lanes.

As a semi approached the crash it slowed, Bujeda said, but was hit by an SUV.  The impact of the crash caused the semi to lose control, jackknife and then hit the school bus Bujeda said.

Bujeda said emergency workers transported the driver of the SUV that hit the semi and the driver of the flipped SUV to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Francis said there is also a crash at the same location on the Southbound side.  Emergency workers transported one person from that crash with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not released the names of anyone involved.
