JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A suspect thought to be burglar was caught Saturday by school police with over $6,000 of computer equipment outside of a Westside elementary school.
Devan H. Deson, 21, was reportedly standing outside of Crystal Springs Elementary at 3:01 a.m. with nine iMac computers at his side when school police with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrived, according to the incident report.
According to the police report, Deson tripped several alarms after he used rock to break through the windows of several class rooms before ransacking them.
The school's security system alerted police about the burglary.
Denson was charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure, criminal mischief, possession of burglary tools and grand theft.
