BAKER COUNTY, Fla. -- A 55-year-old woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 after her vehicle struck a tree, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Charlotte C. Wingate of Monticello, was driving eastbound on Interstate 10 in a 2008 Toyota RAV4, when her car veered off the road and struck a tree, FHP said.

Troopers did not say why Wingate's vehicle went off the road.

According to the incident report she was pronounced dead at scene.
