COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Columbia County Sheriff's Office arrested a 31-year-old Lake City man on multiple narcotics charges after a traffic stop.
Sergeant Ed Seifert, Public Information Officer for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, said deputies stopped Rodgerick Everett on County Road 245 shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, December 22.
Seifert said when the deputy was speaking with Everett he saw what he believed to be illegal narcotics in the vehicle in plain sight.
The deputy placed Everett in custody and searched him, Seifert said.
When he did, he allegedly found additional narcotics in Everett's pants.
Seifert said the deputy found ten individual bags of marijuana and a single bag of cocaine which weighed approximately 6 grams. The drugs were seized by police.
Deputies transported Everett to the Columbia County Detention Facility.
Seifert said Everett is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. His bond has been set at $62,000.
