JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a wrong-way crash that shut down I-95 northbound near Emerson Street early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened around 2 a.m. when a car was traveling southbound in a northbound lane, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Two vehicles and a semi tractor-trailer were involved in the crash.
FHP reports there is at least one fatality in this crash, though it's not yet clear how many people were killed or injured.
The northbound were closed and traffic was diverted onto Emerson Street and University Boulevard.
FHP reopened the highway shortly before 7:30 Wednesday morning.
