JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Monday afternoon the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office released the name of a man killed in a drug-related shooting December 10.
Melissa Bujeda, Public Information Officer for the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said 19-year-old Tommy McDowell, Jr., died in a shooting that happened at the Summer Oaks at St. Johns apartments located at 5350 Arlington Expressway.
At the time, JSO Homicide Lieutenant Rob Schoonover said police responded to reports of a person shot around 7:30 that night.
The night of the shooting, Lt. Schoonover said two men had come to an apartment where a drug-related altercation occurred.
