HASTINGS, Fla. -- The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office is seeking a suspect involved in the armed robbery of a Hastings Subway restaurant on Dec. 15.

Deputies responded at 10:40 p.m. to the Subway restaurant at 8804 W. Church St. at 10:40 p.m., according Public Information Officer Cpl. Catherine Payne with the Sheriff's Office.

The suspected robber came into the store and ordered food before he signaled to an employee that he was armed, Payne said. He ordered the worker to give him the money from the register.

Witnesses described the suspect as white male in his mid 20s, 6 foot tall and 250 pounds and appeared to have a "sleeve" tattoo on his right arm, according to Payne.

He was also wearing a gold colored watch, a white shirt and dark colored pants. The vehicle he left the store in is a two-door compact car, which is thought to be a Honda.

Anyone with information regarding this case should contact Det. Sean Tice at (904) 209-2192 or Crime Stoppers.
