A "Boy Meets World" sequel series is officially a go, according to a Monday report.
TVLine.com reports Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence for a "Girl Meets World" pilot for Disney.
Savage tweeted on Monday "I'm going to be a father! Well, on TV at least. The "Boy Meets World" sequel is officially happening!"
Fishel wrote a blog post about the decision to make "Girl Meets World," saying that the goal of everyone involved was to create a quality new show while not tarnishing the legacy of "Boy Meets World."
"I promise with the entirety of my heart that we will make GMW with the same honesty, innocence, and intelligence that you learned to expect from BMW," she wrote.
The show will reportedly focus on Topanga and Cory's 13-year-old daughter, Riley.
