ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office are investigating a crash that sent two people to the hospital.
The crash happened near the intersection of S.R. 207 and Rolling Hills Drive around 9 p.m. Sunday, according to a news release from St. Johns County Sheriff's Office Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.
Kelshaw said police believe a 2005 GMC pickup, driven by 48-year-old Tracy Tatum, turned into the path of a 2003 Mitsibishi sedan being driven by 20-year-old Scott Stinebuck.
Emergency workers took Tatum by air ambulance to Orange Park Medical Center Trauma Unit with serious injuries. Kelshaw said Stinebuck went to Flagler Hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Kelshaw said alcohol is considered a factor in the crash.
