FHP releases name of pedestrian hit on US 1 Thanksgiving night

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Florida Highway Patrol released the name of a pedestrian hit while crossing US 1 Thanksgiving night.

Tyler Devoe, 21, was hit by a Honda Civic around 8 p.m. Thursday, according to a crash report from FHP.

The report said Devoe ran into the southbound lanes, directly into the path of the car which was being driven by 16-year-old Vivian Lovette.

Emergency personnel took Devoe by air ambulance to Orange Park Medical Center with critical injuries.

The FHP report said charges are pending.
