JACKSONVILLE, Fla--- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirms that one woman is dead after being ejected from a vehicle off I-295 southbound at the Zoo Parkway exit.

Traffic Homicide Detective D.B. Edmonds says it appears the driver drove into the median and over-corrected, running off into the ramp where the vehicle overturned. It was a single-car accident and only two people were in the car. A man was transported to the hospital with injuries. No word on who was driving the vehicle.

The accident occurred around 8:40 p.m. Saturday. Detective Edmonds says it is still unclear whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident. The victims' identities have not been released.
