JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police say two auto related businesses on St. Johns Bluff Road were burglarized that resulted in extensive damage and loss.

At Omega Motorsports at 2040 St. Johns Bluff Road thieves broke into several vehicles. A suspect attempted to steal two vehicles by busting the steering columns and busted the window on another vehicle but did not take anything. The suspect also broke windows in the other two vehicles to get inside.

Two other cars that were unlocked were entered and a stereo was stolen from one of those cars and the dash was damaged.

Total damage was estimated at $1900.
