EAST PALATKA, Fla. -- The Putnam County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Thursday morning after one of their deputies witnessed the two make an illegal drug transaction.
Shortly before noon on Thursday, October 18, deputies were sent to the area of 335 S. Highway 17 in East Palatka to reports of a suspicious person, according to a release from the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies got to the location they witnessed an illegal drug transaction take place between two people. Those two individuals have been identified as Thomas McCaskil, 42, and Erin Davis, 30, the release said.
Police found McCaskil had a schedule IV narcotics and sold at least one pill to Davis.
Deputies arrested both McCaskil and Davis, taking them to the Putnam County Jail.
McCaskil was booked on the charge of drug possession with intent to sell and was given a bond of $2504.
Davis was booked based on an active warrant and given a bond of $3008.
