Melvin Hubert Holmes, 51, of Fleming Island, was arrested on the Clay County Sheriff's Office warrant by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on Tuesday evening, the same day the warrant was served. He was released on a $50,003 surety bond early Wednesday morning, according to JSO inmate records.
According to the warrant, Holmes " ... intentionally used and installed an imaging device to secretly view, broadcast, or record the victim, without her knowledge and consent ... ."
The warrant said he did so for " ... his own amusement, entertainment, sexual arousal, gratification, or profit, or for the purpose of degrading or abusing the victim ... ."
Images of the girl were found on Holmes' work computer by his wife, Yolanda, the warrant stated. The images showed the girl in various stages of nudity while she was dressing and undressing.
Our Florida Times-Union news partner reports Holmes was arrested at the newspaper, where he is a mail and distribution manager.
Cutouts were found where the imaging devices were placed to take the secret videos and photos, the warrant stated.
A computer and a hard drive were taken from Holmes' home to be taken to the Jacksonville FBI center "for a detailed forensic scan," according to the warrant.
