JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- There's a strong Republican presence in one Mandarin neighborhood with Romney/Ryan signs lining up across the street. But for one couple, showing their support for President Obama has been challenging.

"We had our signs up pretty early and we have had two of them during the day crushed and thrown into the bushes."

This homeowner wants to remain anonymous for fear of what might happen to her property in a dominant Republican neighborhood. She's had her signs tossed twice and now she takes them down every day right before dark and puts them back up the next morning.

It's not the ideal way of campaigning, but she feels it's the best way to avoid losing her property.

"It was very disrespectful for someone to come into our yard and take away something that was ours and that is important to us."

These homeowners don't know who might have taken down their signs, but they feel that having their Obama sign up may help increase votes for the Democratic party.

"There are people who drive through who are leaning, maybe are thinking of who to vote for and realize there are people here who do support President Obama."

The homeowner says a neighbor also had a Romney sign go missing a while back. Taking someone else's sign down is considered trespassing and is a punishable crime.
