PALM COAST, Fla. -- The Flagler County Sheriff's Office is investigating a liquor store robbery that happened at a store on State Road 100 Monday evening.
The clerk at Sharps Liquor told deputies two black males who appeared to be in their early 30s entered the store around a little before 5:30 p.m. Monday evening, according to a news release from Flagler County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Debra Johnson.
The clerk asked for identification when the men tried to purchase alcohol. When he did, one of the men said it was in the car, and the release said, both men left the store.
Johnson said one of the men came back in and the clerk again asked for ID. The man said he did not have his ID, so the clerk opened the cash register to refund his money.
Once the drawer was open, Johnson said the man pulled out a small silver handgun and demanded money.
The clerk told police she gave the man money and also a $100 bottle of Hennessy liquor he demanded before leaving the store.
Johnson said the two men were seen exiting the parking lot northwest headed to State Road 100 in a silver Chrysler with a black convertible top.
Anyone with information about the identity of the two men is asked to please call the Flagler County Sheriff's Office at 386-313-4911.
