JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Homicide Detectives are looking for a suspect in a Sunday stabbing.
It happened early Sunday morning in the 1000 block of Pearce Street. According to Sgt. Michael Paul with JSO, officers found the victim, Ronnie Bruce Hill, 46, lying in the street with stab wounds.
Hill, who lives nearby, and friends were standing outside of a home. The friends went inside. When they came back out, they found Hill lying in the street, Paul said.
Hill was taken to Shands Jacksonville where he had surgery for life-threatening injuries. As of Monday, he is still in serious condition.
The suspect in Hill's stabbing is believed to be his live-in girlfriend, suspect Tonya Michelle Bell, 42, according to a release from JSO Public Information Officer Melissa Bujeda. A warrant for her arrest has been issued.
