GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The last time Christian Aguilar was seen, he was entering a Best Buy with Pedro Bravo, the man arrested in his disappearance, to buy the new Kanye West CD.
The wrapping and the jewel case have been recovered, but the Gainesville Police Department is still looking for the CD itself, according to GPD Public Information Officer Ben Tobias.
GPD previously reported that Bravo said he
had an altercation with Aguilar on Thursday, Sept. 20 in the evening and left him in a
parking lot in the 4900 block of NW 13th Street.
Bravo was arrested Monday for obstruction of justice and is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Several days before Aguilar's disappearance, Bravo purchased a roll of duct tape and a shovel (model pictured above), but the actual shovel has not been located, Tobias said.
Aguilar's cellphone has not yet been found and the last known activity from the phone was Thursday at 8:14 p.m. when the phone was powered off. Several phones were found during foot searches Tuesday, but not Christian's.
Searches Wednesday covered areas around the Gainesville Alachua County Airport, the State Road 121 corridor and the Airport Industrial Park. More areas will be searched Thursday and previously searched areas will be re-searched now that it has been revealed that Bravo purchased a shovel, Tobias said.
