JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested a 25-year-old man on charges he watched a woman undress at a tanning booth.
Wednesday, September 19, police were sent to the SOL US Tanning located at 3546 South St. Johns Bluff Rd., according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
When police arrived, a woman said Clifton Jameson watched her undress while she was in the tanning booth. The victim told police when she looked in a mirror on top of the wall she saw Jameson looking at her. JSO said the victim immediately got dressed and told an employee of the tanning salon.
Police said they identified Jameson by his tanning contract, a copy of his driver's license and his credit card on file at the salon.
A JSO deputy watched surveillance video when Jameson previously visited the tanning salon. Police saw video on six dates in September and three dates in August where Jameson was seen looking over walls of tanning booths.
Thursday, September 20, a judge signed an arrest warrant for Jameson. He was located and arrested on Baymeadows Road.
Police said after they arrested Jameson, he said he was "peeping" and had told his wife about it.
Officers arrested Jameson and charged him with voyeurism. He is being held at the Duval County Pretrial Detention Facility on $50,000 bond.
