JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crash involving a school bus on Powers Avenue near Wolfson High School blocked southbound lanes Thursday morning.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the crash happened before 7 a.m. in the 7400 block of Powers Avenue near Old Kings Road South.
Our news partner, The Florida Times-Union, said the crash sent four students and two adults to local hospitals.
The T-U said the students were taken for scrapes and abrasions. Police told the T-U a driver turned in front of the bus.
Both vehicle's drivers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries the T-U said.
At the time of the crash, twelve students were aboard the bus. Those students have been taken to school, our news partner said.
According to Jill Johnson with Duval County Public Schools, the students attend Mandarin High School and the bus was on its way there when the crash happened.
Police are still investigating the crash, all the affected lanes have since reopened.
