JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has arrested the second suspect from an armed robbery at a Dunn Avenue Dollar General Store where one of the robbers was killed.
Police arrested 19-year-old Aundre Campbell and charged him with armed robbery and murder.
According to police, Campbell and an accomplice, 22-year-old Rakeem Odoms, went to the Dollar General Store on located at 1921 Dunn Avenue Monday evening.
The two men, who police say were armed with pellet guns at the time of the robbery, took a cash drawer from store employees.
During the robbery, an armed civilian customer who was also in the store shot and killed Odoms.
Campbell fled the store in an SUV and was later arrested on an outstanding unrelated burglary warrant, police said.
JSO Homicide Lieutenant Rob Schoonover said they will not pursue charges against the customer who killed Odoms.
Odoms had prior arrests in Duval County. In August 2009, he was charged with dealing in stolen property. He received 12 months of probation as punishment. In February 2009,
Odoms was arrested for driving without a license and served two days in jail.
Police charged Campbell with murder because there was a death during the commission of a felony.
Campbell is being held at the Duval County Pretrial Detention Facility. He is not eligible to receive bond.
