JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Homicide detectives with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office are investigating a murder-suicide that happened Friday morning.
Police were called to Jerry Road on Jacksonville's Northside around 7:15 a.m. Friday morning. A neighbor called 911 after hearing gunshots.
When police arrived at the address, they found the victims of a murder-suicide, according to Sergeant Corsey with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
On Friday afternoon, police identified the victim of the murder as Marquita Green, 50, and the victim of the suicide as Clinton Green, 55.
Coursey said this morning police had been to the address before, responding to domestic disturbances.
Marquita Green was found deceased in a car that appears to have been backing down the driveway. The car's engine was still running when police arrived at the scene.
Clinton Green was found deceased on the home's porch. Police said a gun was also found on the porch.
Detectives are still investigating the incident.
